From scene to rehearsal

Give each line a speaker.

  1. Open the notebook. The small umbrella scene is an original fictional example.
  2. Expand Edit scene. Rename the scene, add named roles and enter each line with its speaker.
  3. Choose your acting role. Apply edits, then start rehearsal.
  4. Other roles’ lines appear. Your current line stays hidden in the rehearsal view until you choose Reveal.
  5. Use Next, Previous and Repeat. Mark a difficult line to find it again.
  6. Save explicitly and download a private notebook for a separate copy.

Edits and rehearsals

Editing the scene resets the browser rehearsal. Changing role assignments, line text or line order advances the scene revision. Title and difficulty changes retain content identity. Switching scenes asks before discarding unapplied edits; Cancel edits returns to the applied version.

Local copies need care

Saving uses this browser’s storage. Another tab’s newer save is rejected rather than overwritten. If your browser lacks coordinated saving, download a notebook instead. Browser storage may be cleared or run out of space; a downloaded backup is separate.

Restore deliberately

Notebook files may be up to 10 MB. Restore replaces all scenes after confirmation and resets rehearsal progress. Save afterward. Native version-1 scene content is supported; revealed text and position are not carried into browser rehearsal.

Text limits

50 scenes, 30 roles and 500 lines per scene. Titles allow 200 UTF-8 bytes, role names 100 and each line 10,000. Unicode characters can use more than one byte. Full backups must remain within 10 MB. Use your own text or material you have permission to rehearse.
